Been painting for a few years now, wouldn't say I am a pro or anything like that however looking forward to trying this out. So I got the Dark Vengeance box set awhile back mostly for the Helbrute, okay solely for the Helbrute but whatever. I started looking at the multiple unpainted models I had in the box set and said well I will give the Librarian a try. So I will be painting him up as a Dark Angel Librarian, and welcome any positive input I can get once I start updating. I also plan on trying to base the mini to make it look like ice so hopefully can pull that off. I have him ready to paint and I will start this evening once my son is asleep. I will update with photos after tonight's paint session concludes. I look forward to watching the rest of the threats get completed and updated. |

Now I plan on doing some touch ups and some wet blending tomorrow. The right shoulder pad I think I am going to do green there to add some contrast to the blue so we will see how that comes out. |

When you have a two year old son that gets sick with the flu it leaves no time for painting. Last night I was able to accomplish this while Smokejaguar and I Skyped together. It was a rather good night to get a couple of things done. Problem is I wanted a more stone look to the Chapter symbol and while it does look worn it also looks a touch like faded white and not stone so more to follow on that for sure.   This is the start of today's work.   Okay now on to the base...like I said I wanted to do an ice snow like affect. That being said I have come up with a killer idea as the model's 25mm base is way to small for I have designed it's evolved from sweet he is standing in snow to something much more. I plan on trying to make it look like he is psychically throwing some icicles and blast of ice was kicked up as he channeled his power. This will probably consume most of the time.
